The TenJet System, in conjunction with a Konica Minolta Ultrasound System, enables an ultrasound guided, percutaneous tenotomy and fasciotomy treatment to target the source of chronic tendon pain. A minimally invasive, reimbursable procedure to debride diseased tissue while sparing healthy tissue.
TenJet is a needle-like device that delivers a controlled, high velocity stream of saline to debride the degenerative tendon or plantar fascia, that differentiates between diseased and healthy tissue. The procedure is performed using a minimally invasive approach, under a local anesthetic, in about 15 minutes.
The Konica Minolta Ultrasound System delivers the superior image quality required for direct visualization of the necrotic tissue. Real time evaluation and needle guidance software visualizes the spread of the local anesthetic and insertion of the needle device.
HydroCision’s TenJet System, in conjuction with a Konica Minolta Ultrasound System, enables an ultrasound guided, percutaneous tenotomy and fasciotomy treatment to target the source of chronic tendon pain. The technology utilizes a two channel, twelve-gauge needle specifically engineered to deliver a controlled supersonic stream of saline that debrides diseased tendon while sparing healthy tendon.
TenJet’s patented design uses the principles of flow dynamics to create an in-line Venturi suction effect to debride and evacuate diseased tissue instantaneously, enabling continuous visualization of changes in tendon pathology. The procedure is performed in an outpatient setting under a local anesthetic in approximately fifteen minutes providing patients with many of the benefits of surgical debridement.
For confident needle placement, the SONIMAGE HS1 provides dynamic imaging along with enhanced needle guidance. In conjunction with beam-steering technology, SONIMAGE HS1 incorporates an advanced algorithm that utilizes both the in-plane and out-of-plane methods to improve needle visibility, especially in steep angle approaches. The resulting clarity of the needle enables increased accuracy in needle placement, making the portable system an ideal solution for ultrasound guided procedures.
